He may not be fast nor some physical specimen but his talents on the ball and his brain are top notch at his age.

Don't see many players like him often. Teams would sacrifice a lot if they meant having a Pedri like CM.

in five years Yamal and Cuba will be well clear of him if we get rid of the dead wood and bring in more ballers who aren't as conservative as panda

Unique type of player. On top of his on the ball quality, his defending and pressing is on a very high level. No Xavi/Iniesta beside him nor Busquets behind. He runs this midfield with inferior players.

He is very good at reading situations of where ball will break down.

The amount of times he waits on edges of other players battling for ball and appears to nick it is top notch.

But sometimes shows a lack of attacking desire, as in this moment when Yamal, who gave Pedri the ball a few seconds earlier, was available in space to receive the ball back (arrow shows where he could have passed). Pedri ended up dribbling backwards and getting fouled.

He isn't really an offensive minded midfielder. Still he can improve with time.
