If B d'Or is to be given to best player, then the determining factor should be a combo of volume, successful execution and degree of difficulty of moves + winning overall stats inclusive of defensive stats + non-tangibles like elegance, flair, fair play, general coolness :dembele:

Otherwise, just give the trophy to the team 🌜

Dembele left Barca on a simple premise of seeing an opportunity of securing his future via a financial route, where PSG were offering him about 5 times more than he was earning at Barca. No rational human being will reject such, not even Warren Buffet. Every single person here castigating Dembele and developing some hatred towards him for that decision would have done the same thing or worse if faced with a similar situation. I wont ever begrudge a player for making decisions that will be in their best interests and future security of their families. I will never. Afterall they are humans too.
How do you explain his celebration against us last season and pure passion in seeing us lose?

He has no respect, loyalty - not to even speak of love - for the club at all, yet we spent tons of money on him over the years just for him to do nothing of significance for the club.

Would love to see the statistics you referred to above for more context though.
I just want to say......

BRUVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!

Until this team goes to atleast the Finals, I will not take it seriously.

EDIT: Look at the Goal Difference, Bruvv, let alone the point difference. 8 out of their 11 wins are with such domination. how can you not say its a FARMERS league for them?

I have 8 of the 11 seasons they won the domestic cup. Their Goal Difference, GD in comparison to the 2nd team, and the Point difference.
My main argument is the French league being not competitive enough to be considered a big factor in B'dor, where as EPL and Laliga can be.
B'dor considers a lot of things: UCL, National Trophie, Domestic league, style of play, impactness in crucial matches.

Bro, if the above is the main reason for so much animosity and bile towards him, then I really dont know how else to describe it. Players are free to express themselves and throw allegiance at anytime dependingbon who is paying. They are mercenaries and they are paid for their current services like every other employee, not for eternal loyalty.

Coming back to celebration(if that is the main reason for the amount of vile towards Dembele here), I guess you guys did not have a problem with Suarez celebrating his goal vs Liverpool, Dani Alves against Sevilla, Eto'O mocking real madrid in el classico when he scored or Lucho vs Real madrid . I dont see any one of you continue to piss on Luis Suarez for celebrating wildly when he scored for Athletico Madrid against Barca in 2021......so many examples to mention in order to highlight the obvious hypocrisy hiding behind some of the comments seeming more like hatred here......double standards, is that you?

I am not his fan but hating on him because he made a rational decision to secure his future is really below the bar for me

Correct!!
When you start introducing factors like the colour of jerseys of your opponents, the type of famer you live with, what the weather looks like in the you play in your league vs other leagues.... bla..bla...bla.... it then becomes a subjective or a popularity award that will always favour a group of players even if they were less effective in the season.

Well said, I dont understand why he should get any sympathy from Barcelona fans. Dude was pampered for all his time here as if he was a baby. Always injured, inconsistent and never truly helped the club when it was needed. Only had a good season out of six. A good game followed by a stinker and quite often in crucial games. And yet he was supported by everyone through all this period.

Aside from the sportwise contribution(or lack of), he notoriously used Barca multiple times for financial gains, even threatened to leave the club for free when they were in the worst possible situation. He insisted on getting a raise multiple times(despite being one of the best paid) via his agent when there were talks about reducing the salary cap, and he even ended up being a free agent for some weeks because of this. Xavi promised him an important role in the team and reassured that he seems him as an important player; ultimately he got his wish by getting a contract that would suit him to leave whenever he wanted.

Despite his quiet and introverted appearance, this guy is a piece of shit behind the curtains. And he also has the audacity to play the "victim card", we've seen the celebrations and all.

Context matters, now for Dembele, he had not scored for PSG since November, as a matter of fact, he only had 1 goal in both Ligue 1 and UCL as at April, and that was in November.

So he is battling critics from not scoring a goal at all, having just 1 goal in 32 appearances in both UCL and Ligue 1 , and he scores his first goal since November in PSG's home against Barca (a vital goal that put them at 1-1), and people are suprised he celebrated. Now he also scored in the second leg at Barca's home and didn't celebrate (even when he was constantly booed), yet that doesn't matter as a narrative is needed and that narrative just has to be that he hates Barca, (He was also smiling on the bench, as his team was winning and about to qualify to Semi-Final, and narratives were flying that it shows he also hates Barca, like are we expecting him to be frowning and not happy his team is winning). Enrique and other PSG player celebrated like crazy (then we have Suarez and David Villa celebrating against us), but Dembele is where we draw the line, very interesting.

Enough is enough. Dembele is a Barcelona fan and he loves this team, as he said after our game against PSG.

I think Dembele was indirectly killed by the amigos. How? Remember the story that under Valverde there were some pretty easy training sessions becouse the little dictator and his friends loved it. So, I think this kind of training process was the direct cause of Dembele's frequent injuries.

Always funny to see the same few guys dickriding him as if he's a Barca legend.
Top player when he's at his very best no doubt, but imagine trying to protect him and what he did at Barca as if you're his wife
