Fati wasn't going to be subbed in. Flick did say he deserved it but it was Lamine who asked for it. Flick is good at deflecting these things. Same as when he said Raphinha yelled at him and not that linesman.

It’s a great gesture by Flick to keep including him in game selections.

It seems his intentions are in having Fati feel part of the victory if we win trophies.

Because, and it pains me to say, footballing wise Fati adds nothing anymore.
