Liverpool away was way worse. Simply because it was higher stage, already had the Roma episode, and had losers Tottenham as opponents in the final. I will never consider EV as a top class manager because of Roma and especially Liverpool.

I will not rate him ever either, the guy said physical preparation is not important in football, such an imbecile statement is beyond words.

Maybe just treat this like a final. If team racks up wins in coming weeks, there will be time to rest if they secure the title.

If we lose points tonight it might get tricky. Madrid might just get knocked out from CL in a few days time and they'll focus all their energy into winnin La Liga.

This is the hardest game in La Liga until the end of the month. Rotate a player or two, not more and the same during the week if the players need it. Best thing would be Gala 11 both matches and then rotate in the 2 home games before the Copa Clasico.

Unironically, Barcelona did way more to win in Anfield than in Roma. Roma was the worst ever game in the history of this club, imagine having Messi, Suarez and Iniesta in your team and going there to defend a lead, the most shameful thing ever seen in the history of this club. In Anfield, there’s no doubt Barcelona did try to win the game with Alba and Coutinho’s chances in the first half as well as Messi’s chance before the 4th Liverpool goal. There was a lot more urgency in Anfield but unfortunately the mental barrier was too strong to overcome

I can't decide which game was more humiliating, Roma Away or Lpool Away.

But tbf against Lpool Barca had some chances at the start of the match. Vs Roma it was a total shitshow
Roma Away 💯

In Rome, that Barcelona team did not have any urgency to actually play like a team that is going to seal the tie, these players lead by the coward Valverde went to Rome to defend a lead and not actually go to seal the tie. At least in Anfield, they had some urgency before Liverpool took control of the game

Too many bad memories to have the balls to rotate in an away Champions League knockout match. I know this team seems like it has a better mentality but Terorist is back in the dressing room to spread the looser virus back into the team. Gala 11 in Dortmund for me, rotate a little today but I expect a very though match and likely lost points.
I said this the other day, I don't wanna jinx it but SURELY they cannot blow a four goal lead? The main reason not to rotate heavily is a 2 or 3 goal loss could affect momentum.

He is 'risking it' slightly with no Cubarsi and FDJ starting but Garcia/Pedri today and FDJ/Gavi midweek can work.

There is no way Flick is going into midweek thinking it is won and resting a lot of players.

The only real rotation he can do is CBs./DMs and CF and would guess will see rotation there between the two games and possibly Gerard at LB.
