Martin 1280 minutes
Fort 480 minutes

Fort has never played as poorly as Martin has so you're full of shit CoOties.

Xavi for most part in first two seasons wanted Balde to take the width not go inverted.

Tried that at times with Cancelo but that was about it.

When Balde was fit he would get forward and Kounde was not an inverted full back but would tuck into make more of a three at back fairly often. Although would take width at times also.

With Cancelo he played about with it a bit and brought him inside at times but even he took width a lot also.

Martin is dogshit, and Fort can't be any worse but let's not act like Fort showed anything that warranted a spot. Played a few good games under Xavi, but can't count that since playing well in Xaviball should count against you not for you honestly.

Martin has been recently awful. Before that, he was just not good. Fort was also not good. Flick had to just choose which not good player to use. He chose Martin.

I explained that the simplest way possible. I hope you understand it now 😁

Reality is all options for LB except Balde are ass and easily exploitable for good teams

Now when Balde is injured Flick is blamed for choosing one shit option and not the other

Maybe give the man some depth then we can blame him

We played awful football under Xavi. I know you have a crush on him and everything, but you need to let it go. He's too short for you anyway man, you can do better.

Fort being decent as a FB in a few appearances under Xavi can't be directly comparable because Xavi's system had wingers literally isolated on the touchline vs Flick where the wingers rotate inward with fullbacks providing the width.

As I already explained, Flick has to choose from two not great options. It's clear now that he needs to move on from Martin, and after that performance I'm hoping he will.

Watching game back now. It definitely was Raphinha at LWB after Eric and Pau came on.

Then went 442 after the penalty with Inigo LB and Raphinha LW.

However you have no proof or reason to believe that given that he didn't play well, at all, during the minutes he did actually get. He didn't display that, so you saying it doesn't suddenly make it come true. Martin being abysmal the last few appearances doesn't change the fact that they were equally unimpressive prior. We need merely hope Fort can be not AS BAD as what Martin recently displayed. I'd rather play other players out of position than play Fort or Martin though.
