    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

Its not an expectation but it's not impossible at all either. These teams have regularly been put out by much weaker sides, they are knockouts, when teams like Barca and Bayern come together in a knockout tie the odds are much closer than you think. I mean, cool, we can lose yet again, but...

    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

Depends who is beaten. Overperforming would be putting out a better side like City or Bayern, that would increase Xavi's Europe standing. Otherwise if we just beat fodder and lose to the first good opponent it doesn't mean much.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Yeah especially when it was being remarked on that he is declining already. But oh well. At least Saudi is there and can take the burden off us.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski helped us win a title. At least he gave something. Could have been much worse. If we can ship him to Saudi for a similar price we did well.

    João Cancelo

On his day he's just the best fullback in the world. Hopefully those "days" keep falling on important games where we need him to do something.

    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

Important victory, we likely would have been pummelled in r16 if we finished 2nd.

    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

Lewa complains about service but reality is he takes chances away from himself because he's so slow to react.

    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

You just put FC Barcelona on a level with Porto, who arent even the best team in Portugal... and you think that is the team doing 'a good job'. Goodness me.

    CL Round 5: Barca - Porto 2-1

Judging by what we've seen against them so far we aren't actually superior to them.

    Xavi Hernández

Easy. We can sell the "average" players like Gavi, Pedri, Yamal etc that are very over hyped and average and get that together over the next two windows. Why doesn't Xavi do that if thats all that's needed? He can get rid of these average players instantly for huge money if he wants.

    Xavi Hernández

Interesting that you avoided giving net spend (which is much more accurate as it also accounts for what a team had to sell to buy, as you know with Barca very well). Note that one for future arguments.

    Xavi Hernández

Easiest draws ever seen? Weren't you saying how good Milan's squad is last year too and would take it over Barca's? Barca (in group h2h), Porto, Benfica, Milan, in a row, when I guarantee if we lost to any of these teams you would excuse it immediately by saying our squad isn't good enough.

Very relevant question which still hasn't been answered.

    Xavi Hernández

Its notable that all the pro-Xavi medias and accounts are starting to turn against him very suddenly recently. Could be orders from above.

Inter play fantastic football. Inzaghi is really doing an amazing job with them

Messi did so much for PSG aye. When thinking relative to Madrid his squad wasnt much or any better than theirs.

    Xavi Hernández

Its about what will happen going forward not what was done before. There is no such thing as 'credit'. Its about evaluating whether the future of the team will be better with him. If the new manager improves what was due to happen then yes it is the right choice.
