    Champions League 2022/2023

Camavinga may be great in 1v1s but his lack of awareness is getting exposed. He isn't good at tracking people around him and not great positionally either. Lets Silva loose far too much.

Camavinga and Valverde specifically have been awful. Look like they have no idea what's going on around them. Just athletes with tekkers. Tchouameni is probably their best midfielder, can never understand why he doesn't play, he has brains, skill and physique.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Inter are a better team than Madrid at the moment 100 percent. Madrid absolutely have been structurally dominated today. Now City should take a Xavi approach - just defend with the ball and kill the game because Madrid can't get near them.

    Real are terrible.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Real are shite man. We were better than them this season and fully deserved the title over them. They suck. This is their game. Just voodoo parking the bus every time in CL.

    5 - Iñigo Martínez

That's actually very true. In football, CB can even be more of a demanding on the ball position than striker these days. At CB you're responsible for the build up of the team too and even losing the ball once can cause a goal. Forwards have a license to lose the ball in their attempts to score.

If Madrid win tomorrow Ancelotti will cry when he has to break down that Italian bus midfield as opposed to the oceans of space he is getting on the counter against the big teams.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Regardless of how the final goes (though I am picking Inter to win it), Inzaghi is due for a very successful career in football. He has a character you see from the top CL managers. Guy is relentless and the complete opposite of the bitch mentalities of manager like Spalletti. Didn't complain...

    Champions League 2022/2023

Called it in the r16. They might actually be the best team left, in a knockout sense.

    Xavi Hernández

In a way, he's proven you wrong, no? He did it without Puig and with the high intensity English style football.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Inzaghi! He knows how to manage a KO lead to perfection. Their 2nd legs Vs Benfica and Porto looked like this also. Blunted the game entirely.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Almost zero chance Milan even get this to extra time. Inzaghi is too good at managing a cup tie.

    Frenkie de Jong

I'm not sure it is just running around and knitting things together, our ball retention and creativity has dropped significantly whenever he is out. Making out he's just some kind of workhorse doesn't make sense even statistically where all his contributions are offensive basically.

    The Negreira case

We might get banned, but it won't be now, it will be several years down the line, if it happens. Most of the facts the Spanish prosecutors have aren't even public domain yet or their arguments they intend to present. How can any judgement be made on that basis, when nobody knows the full story...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

You have a good eye for football. Definitely keep making analytical posts. A lot of great points here. I actually agree with pretty much everything you wrote and wrote about it multiple times myself over the last year. I guess I think that we already have the capability for creativity at home...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Loyalty doesn't really exist in football mate. Footballers and clubs 99% of the time both do what is in their best interests. Nobody runs a successful club based on 'loyalty', the most successful football administrators are ruthless. You think if we flopped this season these players would be...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Good point but that is also a result of our conservative style in possession. We never shoot from outside the box or take big risks with the ball much because Xavis philosophy on both offense and defense is predicated on not losing it and keeping it away from the opponent as much as possible...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Hell no. Keep Messi away from the club. Our attack is pretty bad but our defense and pressing is great. Don't compromise that, just try and add different attackers who can keep some kind of work rate standard and not compromise the structure. The most effective press is a team press. If one...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Well, for the most part, this is how you win leagues. He is a flat track bully but a very good one, he is a specialist at scoring against relegation and lower table teams, but that's good to an extent, we will rarely drop points against those. Those are the majority of teams that make up...

Depends which Lewa we are getting next season. Pre WC Lewa is good.
