    Hans-Dieter Flick

^ A lot of the injury problems the squad currently has predate him.

    Victor Osimhen

I mean, we could do it, it's just a really serious step that's typically only taken when relations completely break down and the club has no interest in keeping the player. We're still trying to renew him and would think Flick still sees him as an important player. I don't think he would...

    Victor Osimhen

We should be preparing an offer for the winter/summer, possibly a swap deal or make a sale of one of our good players to facilitate it. Lewandowski is good for now but he's really old and won't last that much longer, whilst we need to secure a striker for the future. This is the perfect...

    Frenkie de Jong

I agree he's better so far, part of it is also the game scheme, Flick as a coach is far more focused on getting the ball up quickly and attacking, with lots of freedom to move and make runs, whilst Xavi setup was a lot more conservative and focused on not conceding so attackers especially didn't...

    Frenkie de Jong

I don't think Raphinha was bad last season, actually he had a really solid season with plenty of goal contributions even not playing that many minutes. You could definitely say the new system seems to bring out his qualities much more, though.

    11 - Raphinha

He isn't even really bad technically, he is great at passing, his dribbling style is just a bit clunky and ungainly so he struggles to smoothly go past players. But in general his technical skills are passable for Barcelona.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

I think Osimhen would be the logical replacement, we need a strong athletic striker who can play with his back to goal, be a presence and score a lot of goals, rather than a link player. You can already see it with Lewa and how his style would suit the team perfectly if he was in his prime...

    Frenkie de Jong

Teams always aim to win the league. Winning one before doesn't make winning a future one any less important, especially now Madrid signed Mbappe which in theory made the league much harder to win.

    Frenkie de Jong

They were not shit, but a lot of them have notably improved as the whole team has, even though we need to wait to judge this as it's only been 4 games. Pedri for example was a bit on and off under Xavi, he's had a string of excellent games (for now). Let's see towards the end of the season...

    6 - Gavi

He's good but had problems if we're being honest, and I would be really surprised to see him be a starter in this lineup. I think Casado's spot will be taken by De Jong when he returns.

    La Liga 24/25

Nico is talented but I think he's a lot more raw than people claim and not sure if he would be an instant hit here. He clearly has a lot of potential but needs to work on end product.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

It's definitely a relevant point, its easier for him to drop some pressing duties and not have to run as much when the whole team is youthful and fast. The Gundogan Olmo switch looks ideal in that aspect.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

If we weren't competing that would be preferable but we can win the league this season on top of maybe going far in CL so we need him. He's also proving his worth in these games and playing very well in the new system.

    6 - Gavi

Then maybe he may just have to be benched, and be a squad option, it's nice to have actual good players as backups.

I've always preferred wired but they removed the headphone jack from modern phones so I can't use wired earphones anymore. That always frustrated me.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

If you watched Barca under Xavi, you would get what I mean. The positioning can still be important, but there is a lot more freedom to move. Players weren't really allowed to move much from their starting positions under Xavi, absolute positional play cone-like system.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

I think the scheme is completely different, almost polar opposite ideas of the game in terms of build up, speed of ball movement, positional freedom etc.

Laplacian goes missing for like 6 months and returns with a post about Dembele, never change  Welcome back

    Frenkie de Jong

Not really. He hasn't been bad, been one of our better players. Just hasn't lived up to expectations, which is a different thing. But I think Flick's vertical football will suit him much more and Flick knows it.
