It’s simply not happening in a vacuum. It’s not just Flick or Xavi or Laporta. It’s a combination of lots of stuff happening in the club. Flicks been better than Xavi so far, but the latters stint was not a waste… he did enough.

He made the sensible choice leaving. Yamal was inevitable.

Did they? We saw all the signs in our CL run last season. This one is more a continuation of that on steroids. I definitely rank Flick as our best coach since Pep (so far). But same as de la Fuente the blueprint has been rather obvious. Just lots of different factors coming together right now...

When we already lost the League. In the CL we played incredibly well until that blunder. We also saw a glimpe of the future of Raph as well.

Xavi did not have the same squad and options... let's be honest here. Yamal alone for example looks like a completely different player. From talented youngster to actual top 10 player in the world. A few months can make a massive difference.

For me he's the big reason for Spains and our transformation. He devoloped very well physically. Looks a step faster now. Having a fast and technically secure winger is usually the cheat code in football. Makes life for midfielders so much easier as well.

His goals were ice cold. Good stuff. If we win the League this season (and we absolutely should now) I will rate him higher than Suarez :lol:
