Benzema never scored around 30 goals on 3 straight seasons during Cristiano era. And like I said before, not all seasons are created equally. It's not a concidence Benzema gets way, WAY more recognition nowadays.

The fact Benzema don't have a reliable scorer next to him up-front makes it even more impressive. Benzema's level during last 3 seasons after Cristiano's departure is a difference given to context.

Not all seasons are created equally. Benzema's value & importance is 10x bigger after CR7 left. He is the difference maker between Real Madrid missing Champions League and being a contender for LaLiga/UCL. Which you couldn't say about Benzema when CR7 was there.
