To be fair , that covering /defensive midfield role surely calls for a faster, more mobile player like Chelsea's Kante or even United's Matic . Rakitic is officially Barca's SLOWEST player ( in the whole squad) so it makes no sense for him to be in an area where people just skip by him .

I'd agree , he's been unrecognisable to the Suarez I loved watching at Liverpool but started showing better signs a few games ago . Last night he was nearly back to his best . Wondering if he's been invigorated by Coutinho joining as he knows he's gonna get loads more chances to score ..
