Transfers and Rumours - old thread

A club owning player's rights has an actual initiative to develop the player. A loaning club doesn't have much reason to do else but play him, whenever his current skill-level justifies that.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

And not to wander too off-topic, Moratti and Stramaccioni are supposed to have held a strategy meeting for summer transfers, resulting in an idea of Handanovic-Fabregas swap. They're valuing the GK at 30 million, and are ready consider other players such as Sanchez, Montoya, Bartra or Song too...

    New Kits Thread

They're also the manufacturer and at least with club teams often set up the shops for the team. Don't know about football, but by the breakdowns I've seen with other sports, the cut the team gets from a shirt sold isn't much, something like 15% or so.

Are you expecting the papers to synchronize their random BS?

    Manchester United

A week ago Simon Kuper wrote a piece for FT about Moyes and his time at Goodison Park. I thought it was a good read. The six year contract is nice gesture by the club, hope he does well.

    Fixed it for you.

    5 - Carles Puyol

Good guy Puyi, sees the world-view of football fans crumble as Ferguson announces retirement, quickly squashes any rumors surrounding himself. :thumbsup2:

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Follow-ups as scheduled. Comparing survival rates of salivary gland cancer and rates of cancer throughout population, I move for us not hiring another human as our coach. Perhaps not any other carbon based lifeforms either, just to be on the safe side.

Respect indeed. Talking of Puerta, looks like, if it isn't the other end, it's right behind where he collapsed.

    Pep Guardiola

That right there. Also, were I able to find his quotes on what would happen once things started to go wrong... I'd probably be running around the board, pointing finger and screaming 'this is why we can't have nice things'.

And then Espinosa pressing, stealing the ball and being pulled down earns a PK, which Lombán converts to 2-0.

    Gerard Piqué

Maybe I just don't follow everything close enough anymore to have caught the parts that would make me feel the same. There's been a difference, but for me it's been that he cover's for also those above him - thus Freixa's better human being than Pep. Well that's curious. Not that I wouldn't...

    Gerard Piqué

I agree that more chances with youngsters should've been taken, and it could've prevented the current state of squad. My only beef is with the use of Tito's tendency to speak BS in order to protect the team as a weapon batter him with. Once situation was what it was, there wasn't much else to do...

    Gerard Piqué

Or from another perspective... First Tito declared CB to be main priority. Then Zubi spent some quality time sitting on his hands. Then Zubi started doing rounds, arriving everywhere late. Then Zubi signed the at least something option he had. And then Tito put up the that's all I ever wanted...

    Neymar - v2

That would be hilarious, but I'm guessing not even those several sources are saying that.

    1 - Victor Valdes

From what I remember, it wasn't reported like that. Here's the first article with quotes that popped up when searching. Players deciding and Pep claiming to have stayed out of it.

Xavi would have seniority over Puyi though. Wasn't the whole quartet of captains thing set up because the current four all demanded to be involved? Who knows wether it will be kept once VV is gone. I wouldn't expect Messi to be asking for it, as he already has seniority over rest of the squad...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Was ready to grasp that as a slight glimmer of hope, but Enrique Reyes' name has been popping up in articles about Heynckes for at least 15 years.

    Cesc Fàbregas

Yep. My bitching was more about the use of the term to be honest. Anyway... :beer2:

    Cesc Fàbregas

On days like these a joy to have him in the team :) Haha I still feel more like a wannabe, a pretender, but working my way towards it. I'm gonna assume it was me. I was speaking about tiki-taka. Not tiki... taka. Nor the occasional tiki... TAKA! But tiqui-taca-tiqui-taca.
