Er no he had nothing to do with the dropped points today, that was all on Ole. He actually looked quite sharp considering his age and he played 90 minutes on Wednesday night.
I think he is the real deal, excelled in City’s youth teams and along with Foden was the star when England U17’s won the World Cup. He probably won’t get the same numbers because the Bundesliga is weaker defensively but I don’t think there’s any doubt about his quality.
He is an excellent finisher with good movement and technique. He was too immature for United at the time and Van Gaal the authoritarian didn?t help, but I?ve always liked him and hated the way he was treated by the scummy English media.
He’s amazing tbh. Had nothing to feed on playing Jose ball tonight but two chances, two lethal finishes. Unfortunately he’s trapped at Spurs, no English club will get him so it’s down to a big European side to get Daniel Levy to sell.
Mbappe definitely has a higher ceiling and for my money is just about still the best young player in the world. But he?s in danger of stagnating massively playing in that crap league with teammates that have huge egos and don?t work hard.
Pretty obvious that the team were nowhere near matchfit at the beginning of the season. It?s no excuse but does somewhat explain a lot of the freaky things that have been happening in the league so far.
