    Mexico

The first half was all Mexico, absolute domination. USA parking their Greyhound, and Mexico suffering from Chicharito's inability to create chances for himself and tendency to live off the wingers/playmakers creativity. El Tri's best man was without a doubt Aquino, guy has blistering pace. GdS...

If I recall correctly the US has won only once at the Azteca, and it was a friendly. Mexico with the advantage here but the pressure might get to them especially after successive draws. I hope Mexico wins this convincingly.

No use appealing now. The ref should have stopped it, regardless if the players wanted to keep playing or not. When a match becomes unplayable due to weather, it's the ref's responsibility to either stop it completely or delay it, like in that Sweden - Ukraine match in the Euros.

Who are you supporting Mike? I think it's around 8:30 in my time zone, gotta make sure. Should be a heated match.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

A two game suspension for a red card is too much imo. It should an automatic 1 game suspension, and then the Uefa panel decide if the offense was severe enough to warrant more suspension. Either way, the King is back and he'll give a physical presence to PSG's attack.

    Marco Verratti

If he gets a chance to replace Alonso at Real, I don't think he'd refuse. But I'm not thinking much of this deal, just some paper talk and nothing substantial. Besides I don't think we can replace Alonso, he's irreplaceable and anybody else not named Xavi or Pirlo would be a step down. So I'd...

    Friendlies

I believe Scolari is sorting out all the options he has. Didn't he do something similar before 2002, iirc he tried and tested all possible number 9s before sticking with recently recovered Ronaldo. He seems to be doing the same now, first tried Dinho and Fabiano, now he's giving Fred and Kaka...

    Friendlies

Russia deserved a win, in the end they payed for their missed chances. They were absolute boss in the first 15 minutes. Capello ftw :worthy:

    Neymar - v2

Horrible decision making. But the whole attack was poor in general, including Oscar.

    2014 WC Qualifiers - Europe

And who from those keepers is at Casillas' level? And the defenders, who is at Puyol's level? The midfielders, who is at Xabi and Xavi's level? Thiago is spectacular but no way he'll replace Xavi. They're all skilled and wonderful but player for player they're not at the same level of this...

    2014 WC Qualifiers - Europe

Actually it is numbered but not for the reasons Garrus gave. Spain's core players are all aging and will decline sooner rather than later. And the new crop while being talented and skilled don't look as good. Who's gonna replace Xavi? Puyol? Casillas? Even Alonso and Busquets have been so...

    Mario Balotelli

No, he didn't just score a magnificent goal, he bossed the game. Had it not been for Cesar having a wonderful game as well, he could've easily had a hat trick. What is so wonderful about Baloeli is that he's been around for so long most people feel he's older than he really is. He's only 22...
