    7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

Seeing him yesterday shows why it's pointless sticking him on the right. I still think our midfield is unbalanced and we can end up looking like we are playing 4-2-4 which is a recipe for disaster. Valverde needs to find the right balance but we need to keep Coutinho and Dembele in the side.

We look so much better offensively with him and Dembele in the side. A class goal from a high class player.

    11 - Ousmane Dembélé - V1

Steady performance with glimpses of outstanding ability. The kid is trying very difficult to forge a name for himself, we should cut him some slack as his potential is frightening.

CL | 1/8 Finals: FC Barcelona - Chelsea 4-1 agg.

Been fearing this for weeks. We are too workman like and lack inspiration apart from Messi who always plays within himself in these kind of games.

When Lucho left I thought that was the end of favouritism but it seems like we have to carry on suffering. Give the youngsters a run please.

    11 - Ousmane Dembélé - V1

Stop being so defensive, Eiber were only aggressive because they saw how tentative our play is. When you play with such caution teams do not fear you. Last time I checked he's been cleared by the medical team and he needs game time so that can't be the reason.

Why pay over the odds for players and then never play them. It's fine whilst we are winning but the pressure on EV will intensify when we fall into a rut.

    Creativity...no. Technical ability....no. Pace....no. Passing ability....no. Overall average....yes. A text book Valverde player.

Not sure he can, he's already running key players into the ground.

What does that mean? That's he's scared of mighty Elbar and had to put in a defensive player to nullify their attacking threat? This guy is such a dull manager it's not even funny.

I don't care if he doesn't play well against Chelsea but if he just plays within himself acting all lazy then that's inexcusable.

The thing is who does Messi interchange with up front. If you ps4s the ball in tight situations to Suarez you can guarantee a loss of possession. I'm really worried Messi will be nullified with the Ronaldo fanboys out in full force again. Please rest him against Elbar.

We need that fire in the belly Messi too, seriously he can't afford to walk around off the ball. The game is changing all the time and players are pushing their bodies to new limits and if Messi doesn't adapt he will stop being significant in UCL knockout games. I'm still fuming he wasn't...

    Mohamed Salah

He's scoring Messi-esque goals game in and game out. He works twice as hard as most players, makes fantastic runs off the ball and is generally unplayable even against the best teams. KDB has been sublime but he's got fantastic players all around him, most of Salah's goals are individual...

It doesn't help that he has to directly link up with Suarez who's link up play is below standard. Any return pass is at best over hit or puts Messi out of sync.

Whilst he has earnt the right to take his foot off the gas on occasions sadly no one has the balls to tell him what we all see.

It's been frustrating me no end seeing him play in Copa. We never ever learn.
