I'll disagree. Deco's game consisted of dives and little flicks as a major part of his game; more than his dribbling and goal scoring. Thiago moves like Deco but the major parts of his game show me a different type of player. His dribbling and the way he shields the ball reminds me of Iniesta...
yup, he killed the ball with absolute beauty.
He's not the next Xavi; perhaps he'll never be. He's something else. A little bit of Xavi, little of Iniesta and a little bit of Ronnie.
Thiagolcantra.
Lol @ username. What'll happen if we don't get Sanchez...?
Anyway, Sanchez for me. Thiago is a good enough back up for xaviesta and we need good backup to rest Messi and co.
And this; I had this page open on another tab.
The fact that Pele is one of the most obnoxious man in football has not done anything good to his image. I personally think that a little bit of cockiness is good but this guy is way beyond that; and is just a massive dick.
I believe that...
For me, Pele and Zidane are perhaps the most overrated players of all time, I don't mean they are not good. I mean that there is so much hype around them; it warps the actual facts to create a legend. The most important thing here is that people are quick to believe whatever they are told...
Can't believe he was among the 4 most highly rated players from La Masia like Fabregas, Iniesta and Messi..
I hope he proves me wrong, and gets better just like Iniesta.
Forgot to add, Let's not go overboard with this stuff. Zidane is placed in the right category along with Ronaldo, Ronaldiho etc.
Putting him in the same category as Maradona? Big no-no
The thing about Thiago is that he has all tools necessary to succeed but, he needs to learn to value possession. If he goes on loan to some other club, who won't have the same amount of possession as us, I can deffo see him correcting that habit.
