Yeah the narrative that he's the GOAT penalty taker is a myth. His rate of success right now is 84%. Certainly one of the best, but not on level with Le Tissier, Platini, Shearer, Hugo Sanchez or even Koeman.
Still too early to predict his career after what happened to Fati, but this kid is amazing. I'm gutted he hasn't managed to play with Messi atleast for a season. I imagine he could've learned a lot from the GOAT, just like he was helped by Ronaldinho.
Play shit the entire match but profit from a clutch last minute goal then pray on the mentally/physically tired opponents in extra time... Hard to love England or anyone like this tbf.
Wow that Scamacca guy was so bad. When they were looking to cross the ball to him, he was too far from the box acting like a playmaker, and when he was in the box, he was winning zero duels despite the height advantage. And the shots he took:LOL: But to be fair this whole Italian squad is...
Champions League is basically living off its name/brand for quite a few years now. Last objectively good final was in 2018, and that was for the goals alone. Maybe the new format will change things, but I can't say for sure. I reckon I wasn't a big fan of the change(because who knows what else...
Come on, it's not all grim an dark. We had some good games and bad ones aswell. There's also emotions to international games, country rivalries etc. There are Champions Leagues games/finals that are a waste of time aswell, like the last 3 Champions League finals. So club football isn't the end...
Maybe club football is superior most of the times in terms of quality, but nothing tops international football, especially World Cup atmosphere. Having your country there, let alone win it, is the best thing that you can achieve in football.
1st place gets to play Netherlands or Slovenia(If Czech Republic doesn't qualify) if I'm not mistaken
2nd place gets to play France, 3rd place in the group gets to play Spain/England
Well said. Iran was a power block in that match. I always look back to 2014 World Cup with a lot of nostalgia. So many great moments, that Colombia/James Rodriguez run, Netherlands destroying Spain, Germany being a monster, Costa Rica being the dark horse etc. Also Brazil being a great host, I...
Hagi turns 60 next year and has never coached anywhere else besides Romania & Turkey. He was a great player, one of the best long shot takers of all time(top 10 imo) but he's not a great coach.. He stayed this long in football because he created his own club where he's also the current manager.
