Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

You don't understand English properly or you have a poor reading comprehension. Do you know there is a difference between 'Some naive aspects to their play' and 'naive tactics' full stop? Read the two back slowly and try to understand the meaning. So again, you're an idiot.

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

Liverpool's transfer spending is not far off. This season they spent £164m which dwarfs City's £69m. The season before that they spent £156m although they sold Coutinho for £120m. City spent £286m that season. £330m vs £355m over last 2 seasons.

Yes idiot, they could have won 2-0 Tote were so bad. 1-0 = 1 foot in the final? Laughable.

2nd half they didnt look as good, which is to be expected as they totally dominated first 45. Some naive aspects to their play though - when they are getting grabbed or wrestled off the ball they should go down tactically to get the foul. Instead they just let Spurs man-handle them.

It's simple - if you ask Messi to track back all the time, he is away from the opposition box where he can score. He also loses energy for when he wants to attack. You lose offense if you ask him to defend. The best scenario is to have him track back to order when the team is out of defensive...

Good. I want their full strength team to face us, plus he's overrated.

It's still far behind Spain though, but I am glad it is changing. EDIT: Another key thing in the style of football is the climate. Spain is a hot country, you run around like a headless chicken in that heat you're knackered. That's why there is more emphasis on running and fitness in EPL, the...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

Huddersfield are absolutely shite though so it is hard to gauge. Letting the Scousers score in the first 8 seconds remember...at Anfield, is only gonna lead to domination and embarrassment for a bottom of the table club.

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

Yes of course they have skill. It is not a cliche though. I was born and live in England and have studied this for my university degree many years ago. The EPL is a little better now but coaches here will pick youth players (pre-16) based on strength and 'pace' above skill. An Iniesta or Xavi...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

English clubs I see as the mortal enemy - physical football that favours strength and speed is the antithesis of what Barcelona stand for. Some EPL clubs are worse than others of course but ultimately the whole league is a pernicious influence on footballing philosophy because of this ideology...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

If Barca get through the home match with a good result there is a noticeable advantage going into the Anfield encounter: Liverpool have a do or die match away to Newcastle three days later whilst Barca will rest their entire 1st team. EV must use this physical advantage as a factor in the way we...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

Clement Lenglet revealed before the game that the Catalan club had been spending a lot of time analysing their Premier League opponents. "To prepare I have videos of the players I am going to face," he told El Periodico. "I look at what they like to do, how they dribble, how they move, how...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

The benefit of Coutinho is that he'll be extra motivated and more likely to score because of the psychological factor of this being against his old club. But yeh, they know his weakness of giving away the ball/not tracking back. I would prefer to see Dembele as he did a game-changing run...

Champions League Semi Final: Liverpool - FC Barcelona 4-3 agg.

We weren't that bad against Levante, they had one clear cut chance towards the end of the game and that was it. But for poor finishing, the score could have been 4-0. Also, those concerned about Dembele must have missed his magic run last night when he beat 3 players to set up Messi's goal...

Nice to see all the children on the pitch with the players.

    Lliga | Round 35: FC Barcelona - Levante 1-0

I can forgive them a little as they create enough chances to win 4-0, their minds were on Liverpool, and they were playing with a bit of tension. Still, not the confidence builder it should or could have been as Suarez or any other player couldn't score.

    Lliga | Round 35: FC Barcelona - Levante 1-0

This is the magic Dembele can produce which Coutinho can't; beat 3 players and create a chance. Coutinho does have one of the best long shots though.
