He is not in good conditions. He is expected to be a holding midfielder + box-to-box + playmaker + covering on too many players + a defender.. when the whole team performs badly. At this rate honestly, I see that De Jong is wasting his time in this dysfunctional team. He will only decline here.

I'm a Messi fan. But when a player is injured, he leaves his place to another one from the bench. There is no exception to this rule, even if you are Messi or Lebron James or whatever. That's better for the team and for the player himself. Playing injured is nonsense
