Clubs from other leagues that you like.

La liga: support Barca EPL: like Arsenal Bundesliga: support FC Köln from cologne; like FC St. Pauli and Werder Bremen a bit less while im more or less neutral towards basically every other club, i hate the big italian clubs with a passion ...

    Messi's Top 5 goals?

2nd one vs Zaragoza. He wins the ball by himself when tackling a Zara defender from the back, feints his tackle and rush off him, owns the 2nd defender by cutting in and back out, ignores the 3rd and puts the ball perfectly past the goalie from a suboptimal angle. It was just him who did it on...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

The situation is muhc different to post-clasico of last year when we went 7 pts ahead with 4 matches left, virtually ending the championship. For me, its still a 50-50 thing today. The RM players should still be seeing their chances with 7 matches remaining and be fully motivated to go an a 7...

    Country with the best Forwards?

You can even add Lucas Barrios who is doing a great job for Dortmund - 15 goals in 26 matches or so. He just got a paraguayan passport though (his mother is from Paraguay) and could possibly play for them at the WC.

It was a clear own goal.

Im not that much into RM, but it could indeed be a mental problem, so that a better mental and motivational management could help them overcome us finally. Like i said somewhere else already, if Mourinho would really join RM last season, it could get really, really tough for us ...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I still wonder how they let CR take the FKs with VdV on the pitch. Thats the silly superstar policy that eventually screws you up. I also agree with your overall CR assessment, he had many opportunities on a counter attack, where you would normally think 'ugh, that could hurt' ... but instead he...

    Country with the best Forwards?

Easily Argentina. You even didnt include Higuain and Aguero.

Ye true, at least Henry would still be providing sth. It still would make Henry a pretty damn expensive assistant coach.

    FC Barcelona Tactics

What didnt work on the right was the missing receiver on the left flank, that usually would be Alves behind the right winger. Puyol was (perhaps on Peps command) further back, securing against any counter attacks. That lead to a few scenes in the 1st half with Xavi holding the ball and having no...

    1 - Victor Valdes

Simply flawless today and kept us in the game. Also had an aura of complete calmness and safety

    Pedro Rodriguez

I actually felt he had a rather poor match besides the one scene where he scored. Esp. in the first half too many easy losses and mispasses. Also seemingly not able to get past anyone. I actually would have subbed him out for Iniesta at halftime already. Good thing that im not the coach ;)

Really worth it as he fooled 4 defenders. First dribbling past 2, then cutting into the box, shaking up 2 more and finished with a placed shot into the back of the net.

Dunno if anyone really cares, but this Szalai dude that RM loaned out to Mainz scored his first BL goal today vs Dortmund, which was the deciding b/c only goal of the day. And it was a really good one, really worth looking up on youtube.

    Franck Ribéry

Just check him up in the scene that led to the 2-0. He didnt join Badstuber on the left side to attack Valencia, who then had the opportunity to cross the ball to Nani. ANd that wasnt the only scene were he kept out of defensive work. And his dribbling was just not good enough today to get past...

    Ivica Olic

Not that awesome, but he rarely plays for full 90 minutes, mostly b/c of the high competition, not b/c hes powered out or sth. BUndeliga: 24 matches / 8 goals CL: 7 / 4 Cup: 1 / 0 Pretty good comparison. Tevez technique is better though.

    Arjen Robben

He was poor today, but he was hardly fit. Robben said in an interview afterwards that they planned to play him 60 minutes max. It was RObben who didnt want to go off ... and it paid off by that single action in the end.
