    14 - Javier Mascherano

Yes. I mean it's as if he knew the shot would rebound off another player, rebound off himself, then score an own goal.

    Sergio Busquets

    Thanks for a random fact.

    Sergio Busquets

Exactly, that's why Song's the perfect replacement for Keita. He can do a solid job in all positions in midfield, whether it's a more advanced role or deeper. There's no chance he'll bench the best DM in the world though.

    Alex Song

I don't think he will either, but I mean everyone wants a double pivot if him & Busquets play in the same game. If they do play at the same time, it doesn't mean it'll be as part of a double pivot.

Tito: "I know how we have to play against Getafe"

You've cracked it. We should completely nullify the most important factor of our play by putting no one in that zone.

    Alex Song

Song doesn't just play in deeper roles. If you watched Arsenal last season, he was more less there number 10.

    Alex Song

Exactly, I'm not saying I can't see Song & Busquets playing at the same time but it won't be as part of a double pivot. When did he hint on it? I havn't read that yet.

Tito: "I know how we have to play against Getafe"

Oh my christ, everyone on this forum wants a double pivot. It's just ruins the whole science of our play with 2 in that zone. I can see us using Song & Busquets at the same time, but not in a double pivot.

    Alex Song

It's never gonna happen. Why does everyone want a double-pivot on here?

Tito: "I know how we have to play against Getafe"

    I don't know, but watching the game back, I'd suggest a -

Mascherano: CB at Barca a risky business

He has completely embraced the Barca way of thinking. Everyone blames the defence for errors. It's not that, it's Barca's tactics. They're risky, but it's a risk what they're willing to take to win the game how they want to win it.

Cesc: "I want to retire at Barca"

Yes, he's being serious. He thinks the problem is Messi, who is supposedly off-form now and will remain off-form for the duration of his career. He wants us to try & lug Messi off to some billionaire outfit for 100-150 million euro's & then build a new stadium. If all goes to plan, Fabregas will...

    Alex Song

I think I put up a comment similar in another thread, but Song will essentially give rest to all positions in midfield, as well as defence. Without putting him down, he will be more of a utility player but I think you'll be suprised at his own quality. I watched almost every Arsenal game last...

    FC Barcelona Tactics

I don't think they're being more direct at all. Tito was just as involved in how Barca played under Pep to a point. He was for the experimenting, & I wouldn't actually be suprised if he uses the 3-4-3 occasionally. In the match against Madrid, sometimes they were a back 3.
  15. JimmyGuitarist

Do you approve signing Song for 20 mil.?

Song's a brilliant signing. He can essentially give rest to every midfielder, defender & he'll bring his own quality as well. I saw almost every Arsenal game last season & he does have a tendency lose his discipline, but he played in a double pivot with Arsenal so he had a bit more license to...
