La Liga | Round 4: Celta Vigo - FC Barcelona 0-3

Messi really is cursed, isn't he? Impossible for him to score now because even when he does it's taken off him.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Getting goals taken off him all the time. Taking the piss now.

    Luis Suárez

Many of us have been calling out this donkey for years now. Yes, he was good once. He'll be as useful there as Torres was going back when he was done.

    Luis Suárez

Because he's crap. if he was any use we wouldn't have let him go. We're not selling someone on top of their game like Eto'o.

How have Barca missed out again?

    Lionel Messi - v7

Still struggling to score from open play but in that role and with creative players around him (Coutinho, Pjanic, Fati) the goals should come. An attacking right back needed too.

    Philippe Coutinho

Regardless of how much of a disappointment he was, loaning him out for a season so we could keep playing Rakitic and Vidal was a nonsense. He actually creates.

La Liga | Round 3: FC Barcelona - Villarreal 4-0

And the years before that under Valverde. Anything good would come through individual moments from Messi. That was a team effort.

La Liga | Round 3: FC Barcelona - Villarreal 4-0

Barca actually look a team for the first time in years without fatty Suarez and Raki slowing everything down. Best way to use Messi as well. Keep him furthest forward and get your runners around him. Lo and behold it's a more creative team with movement.

    Lionel Messi - v7

At home to Granada when 4-1 up  That's his level now.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Lost a lot of respect for the man

    Luis Suárez

Suarez's first couple of years he was one of the club's best ever forwards, his last years one of the worst. He'll be more remembered for the latter and his embarrassing performances in CL humiliations.

    Cr150

Yeah of course he's class, as is Ronaldo, but the point is there's nothing amazing about a 35 year old banging in goals in Serie A. Quagriela top scored in it at 36 the other year. Ronaldo could play for Juve at 38 and score a bunch of goals, as Zlatan is.

    Luis Suárez

I despise Suarez but he was halfway out the door and now we're stuck with him for another 2 years? Because if he stays he'll hit the contract trigger and we'll have Messi and Suarez not running all season.

    Cr150

Zlatan still looks a worldbeater in Serie A at 38. League is a joke.
  16. R

    Luis Suárez

At best he'll be as good for Atletico as Torres was when he went back when he was well past it.
  17. R

    Luis Suárez

Yeah, Messi has carried the fat disgrace for the last 2 or 3 seasons. Simeone might get him in better shape but he can't make him any younger and his teams are too defensive to provide him the service he was used to at Barca or Rodgers's Liverpool. It's not like he's clinical either. He...

    Luis Suárez

Finally some good news. Piss off you cancerous disgrace.

    Lionel Messi - v7

With or without Messi we'll finish 1st or 2nd in Spain and go out in CL when we face a good team.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I just want to see creativity and some pace around him, after years of fatty Suarez and old men Raki and Vidal. I'd rather see Messi closer to the goal in general though but given the service. Throw a decent midfield and forward signing to replace those hasbeens and there's plenty there, Koeman...
