    23 - Jules Kounde

He is excellent. Great at 1v1, has good composure and his understanding of the game is also exceptional. I was surprised how good he is at winning headers taking into account he's quite short for a CB.
  2. Batistuta9

    Ousmane Dembélé

Now that he's staying, he should get a chance at RW. Griezmann has been poor and trincao has been okay.
  3. Batistuta9

    Antoine Griezmann

Koeman has to start thinking about dropping him soon. He isn't offering anything at the moment. Ansu has been involved in 4 goals we have scored, coutinho in 3 and Messi in 5. Griezmann has been involved in zero in 3 matches.
  4. Batistuta9

    Philippe Coutinho

Playing him in a position that suits him definitely helps. It's not the only factor why he is playing well imo. His attitude seems different to me this season. He looks really motivated at the moment.

    Lionel Messi - v7

That's what I'm saying, it's better Messi playing as the most advanced player. He won't be able to play the AM position in this team as koeman wants a lot of defensive contribution which Messi won't be able to do.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Messi will obviously play better as a 10 than a 9. Some people are confusing coutinho's AM position as a 10. He's playing as a 8/10 hybrid at the moment with how much he is helping defensively. Coutinho is doing the role koeman wanted wijnaldum for.

    Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho has always had ability but was bit of a sulk. Even when he was playing poorly for us, he probably thought he was playing well and was probably the reason he did that celebration against man utd. The Bayern loan helped him more mentally than physically imo. He probably thought he would...

    Memphis Depay

I would happily take that for him. We'll see what happens. Would have been great if man utd were interested in him this summer, but it seems they're interested in players on a similar timeline to rashford and greenwood.

    Memphis Depay

I don't think there will be too many teams interested in him, unless we sell for around 50m. He'll be 30, teams won't want to pay a high fee for a player with a few years left. PSG are the only team that comes to mind, but I don't think he wants to go there and has rejected them before.

    Sergiño Dest

Always a risk with young players. Hopefully he does well. At least if he flops, we should be able to sell him 10-15m. That's nothing compared to the 100m loss we're going to make on dembele.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I think koeman will try and use Messi the same way tadic was used at Ajax during their CL run in 2019. Probably one of the reasons Schreuder is his assistant. For it to work well, fati, griezmann and coutinho will have to make a lot of runs and be the most advanced player is some situations...

    Lionel Messi - v7

We were easily good enough to win that year. Sometimes it's just about peaking at the right time. We were poor the first half of 14/15 and blew everyone away in the second part. Liverpool were almost perfect in the first part of last season and then lost their to atletico, got knocked out of the...

    Memphis Depay

Yeah, I don't want him as well. The only reason why we are interested is because he'll be cheap. We should be okay in attack. Maybe a player with a similar profile to giroud for parked buses would be useful.
  14. Batistuta9

    Philippe Coutinho

He had a good game. He's always seemed like a mentally weak player to me. He usually starts well and then loses confidence after a few bad games. Hopefully the loan to Bayern has also made him mentally stronger.
  15. Batistuta9

    Ruben Dias

Pressing as a team will definitely help. I still don't think a pairing of pique and lenglet is good enough. An elite defender makes a massive difference, take van dijk for example. Liverpool pressed as a team before he came but they still conceded a lot of goals. All of lfc's backline praise...

    Lionel Messi - v7

It makes me laugh when people say Messi is a better league player and Ronaldo is the better CL player. The better player is better whatever the competition. I know it might be an unpopular opinion, but I do think playing the "Barca way" has contributed to our lack of success in the CL. The...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Good post. People try and compare him too much with Ronaldo. If Messi doesn't score, he is still capable of being man of the match. If Ronaldo doesn't score, he is anonymous.
  18. Batistuta9

    Lionel Messi - v7

I think deep down he knew the players aren't good enough. Most people would agree even with the best managers this squad isn't capable of winning the CL.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Here's why the theory never made sense. We don't know them or what goes on behind the scenes. What if, when he was saying this team isn't good enough, he was talking about the older players. He has known them a long time and isn't going to say you're not good enough anymore and you need to...

    Lionel Messi - v7

The theory never made sense to me. This is a guy who has been winning his whole career. Why would he repeatedly say this team isn't good enough, if all he wanted to do was play with his friends. Staying at Barca would have been the easier option.
