    Eric Abidal

I'm thinking of where would be good for him and I can only think to one of his previous clubs (Lyon, Lille, Monaco). I can definitely see him going to Monaco and do a Beckham-esque donation of wages to charity.

    Eric Abidal

The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am we didn't retire #22. It's not like he wears #10 but it would still be a good sign of respect for a club legend who has gone through way too much.

He'll probably start and come off towards the end for claps. As for anger at Rosell, it's misplaced. It's a sad situation but as a president he should put his emotions to the side and do what's best for the football club.

Did anyone else almost cry during the video of him? I've seen that diving header from the ground like 10 times but I just love it

    National Team Support

I chose "I do not support Spain because I believe Catalans should protest the national team." but that's not really the reason, I mean I will be supporting Australia regardless but if there was a Catalan national team rather than watching Alonso, Arbeloa and Ramos play alongside Iniesta/Xavi...

    Thiago Translantara

Or maybe Thiago will convince De Gea to replace Valdes :thiago:

    Cesc or Thiago?

Cesc is a better player but it's important the we keep Thiago for the longer term. Or, preferably, keep both and rotate Xavi more, maybe even Iniesta too, it might help them get over the consistent niggling injuries.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Well if we go by the rumours, Dortmund will replace Gotze with Bernard and De Bruyne, and will loan Bittencourt and loan/sell Leitner.

    Mats Hummels

Fair enough, I don't watch Serie A so I'm not going to compare Marquinhos to anyone else but if he's as good as you say then he and Inigo would be solid. Another bonus is Inigo being left footed, making Inigo-Marquinhos back-line have a VERY high potential.

    Mats Hummels

To be fair, he was playing injured, this wasn't exactly his typical performance. Fair enough, but I just don't think Inigo alone would be enough to solve our problems. I'm a big fan of his, just I would love to seem Sakho come in (tall, can jump, read the game and is fast). Maybe we can get...

    Thiago Silva

Yup, I've been saying for a while Alves needs to go considering Alba has outplayed him this season and is younger (La Masia is a bonus), especially if it can be included in some sort of Thiago Silva deal.

    Mats Hummels

Yup, I agree 100% With him unwanted and Silva unlikely, I reckon we might end up going for Martinez (I would have preferred someone taller, like Sakho), especially considering we just used 25-28m on Neymar.

    Neymar - v2

I assume you're referring to Alexis and Cesc (not Song/Alba) I definitely understand the frustration with Alexis (as much as I like him) but Cesc has done well in my opinion. Having 4 central midfielders is sufficient, it's not an abundance of depth (especially when Xavi is getting worse and...

    Neymar - v2

"Neymar's favourite number is #11, worn by Ricardo Carvalho at Real Madrid and Thiago Alcântara at Barcelona." A lot of speculation here: if he chooses Barca he'd probably get Villa's 7 and get Kaka's 8 at Madrid, but lets not get too ahead of ourselves
