Like the lineup but I would have gone with Rakitic instead of Xavi for physicality and work rate.

90% of the time we get hit on counters because of our wingbacks being pushed up too high. In theory, a 3-5-2 would relieve some of the defensive responsibilities of the wingers. But you are correct, we probably don't have the type of versatile, mobile defenders required to pull it off.

I think a 352with Messi as an AM would be the only formation to take advantage of the best qualities of both Sanchez, Neymar, and Messi at the same time. We could potentially use Cuadrado in that formation given or CBs were quick enough to cover wide. I don't know if it would workout playing...

Seems the key to next season will be the Masia lads. Doesn't look like there will be any flashy transfers. I do hope we grab a decent CB, but I really think he's going to depend on the kids.
