I know. What I mean is that Samper already has technique and skill, while Gumbau does not have nearly enough of both to be a midfielder at Barça.

It all started when Lucho didn't play Samper in a preseason match but Gumbau got significant game time. In my opinion that is a very good reason to think he doesn't rate Samper (as much).

I'm probably one of his biggest fans but I'd rather see him get more experience in a better team than, with all due respect, Gijon (beautiful club though).

Sometimes he already plays with and against players one year older than him, but he a goalscoring beast there as well. I still have doubts because of his physical appearance though, it is a big advantage at youth level.
