He cant play UCL unless Barca de-registers Tek

He cant play la liga this season until Barca terminates the contract with Tek or increase the salary cap to accomodate his own(Mats salary was discounted to register Tek)

Boths situations are highly unlikely

Flick was just being diplomatic and tongue in cheek with his answers.

The club will never get a better chance at selling him.

Actually have leverage if Szczesny keep performing well. He's obviously desperate to start for Germany in 2026, but he won't if he's the #2 here. If Deco tells him that's what he is going to be then he will for sure look to move. Probably won't fetch a very high fee, but 20-30m and getting rid of his big wages counts for something and would count as pure profit in the books.

Probably not likely, but Man Utd seem desperate for an upgrade and he could be a short-term solution for them.

Even if you really like him then I'm not sure how you cannot see how this makes sense.

He's a soon-to-be 33 year old GK that's on the smaller side and has chronic knee issues. It's time to move on and sign a replacement.

Can't see him fetching more than 15-20m, especially after his injury.

Problem is he would never move willingly. He seems way too proud and narrow-minded to admit he isn't good enough.

He should go to Italy. The pace will suit him, plus he can use his scooter and not look like a pleb.

Added bonus is that if he retires aged 34/35, he may even get a shot at joining Barca.

If Flick benches him it should be enough that he accepts leaving. I think his ego is too big to sit on the bench. Everything is on Flick, hope he does better with fighting terrorists than Bush and Obama.

We'd still need to find a new keeper then, which will most likely be pricey. Seems to be a few good names in the ranks, Yaakob, Kochen, Iker Rodriquez. But no guarantee they'll work out.

Champagne will flow the day he leaves the club

Going from him to someone like Joan Garcia would be pure profit, on and off the books
Man, we can just dream of having Joan Garcia in our team.

Reality will be this summer, Terrorist staying while we lose Garcia to a big club for peanuts. Terrorist will throw a hissy fit and be a starter again.
Meanwhile, come 2026, we are again stuck with this terrorist, as most good/ok GKs are off exorbitant prices, which the club wouldn't want to pay for.

Ya we are stuck with this fucker for the forseable future arent we?
