Save percentages in La Liga since Stegen signed, ranking based on conceded goals per shots faced in La Liga.
Bravo 2014/15, 1st
Bravo 2015/16, 2nd
Stegen 2016/17, 3rd (2nd)
Stegen 2017/18, 2nd (champions)
Stegen 2018/19, 11th (champions), lolwe won the league having the league's 11th best shot stopper
Stegen 2019/20, 8th (2nd)
Stegen 2020/21, 4th (3rd)
Stegen 2021/22, 15th (2nd)
Stegen 2022/23, 1st (champions)
Stegen 2023/24, 7th (2nd)
Guy was top 3 in the league only in 3 out of 8 seasons.
In half the seasons he played for us he finished outside of top 5 for keepers with the best shot saving stats. In 2 of those seasons he was abysmal.
And that's his strong competition
Imagine this guy in Flick's system that is built on ultra attacking tactics and exposed defense.
And we know 2022/2023 boost was only cause of new hair. I would put a big asterisk behind that one.
If season gets derailed these coming weeks we know who will get the blame

If we want to look at GK save % as some absolute stat then Onana was the best GK in EPL last season.
While Alison was 7th.
If you want to look at save % then realise that Scezny save % this season so far in league is 29th in La Liga and lower than any season MATS has had by far.

Last season Onana was top and Alison was 7th....
MATS % this season with Flicks 'Ultra attacking football' is still better than Scezny anyway.
Alison has been in top 2 GKs in world for years.
List of GKs with higher % than Allison this season in EPL after Onana was 1st last season ahead of Allison/Ederson etc last season.

Yeah i noticed scezny is facing few but high quality shots this season.
May be a better stat would compare xG faced vs xG averted. No?

Probably the most accurate stat to predict how good a GK actually is.

Potential season ruining news.
I doubt he cares. He won't leave and he will be a starter next season. We know how it works at Barca. Club is not as ruthless as Real Madrid - they offloaded Casemiro, Varane and other players in the past before they started to decline, we gave Alba and the rest contract extensions.

It's great he's back, more competition added for the GK position. There's one month of competitive football left and Tek is relatively solid for most of the part. I believe we'll go along with Wojciech for the rest of the season.
Next season will be drama, though. Club captain fighting for the spot.
P.S. - probably the last time I mention Iñaki Peña as Barca player. He's definitely going to be sold and above the quality to be 3rd option GK. Unless willing to wait for his time in seasons to come.
