I doubt he cares. He won't leave and he will be a starter next season. We know how it works at Barca. Club is not as ruthless as Real Madrid - they offloaded Casemiro, Varane and other players in the past before they started to decline, we gave Alba and the rest contract extensions.

He strikes me as type that would care.
Whatever the case, he had way too much time here as #1. 10 seasons of mediocrity (1 great season) while other top clubs had great goalkeepers.

He knows it too. He's not stupid. That's why he is desperately trying to be involved (Supercopa) and trying to take the glory on back of his teammates toil.

Quite shocking to have a retired goalkeeper come here and after few months show what normal GK is capable of.

I don't think so. Tek clearly said he understands he's just the replacement for his injury and MAtS suits Flick's football way better, as his strengths are more important with a high defense. I don't really see a fight for the spot. If ter Stegen remains fit and regains his form, he'll clearly be starting again from next season.

If learned anything from Mats missing it's that his technique and passing is vastly overrated. Already knew he was one of the worst goalkeepers on high balls/crosses.

And he is a mental midget.

Yes, Wojtek makes a stupid mistake and costs us a goal here and there. But he follows that up with multiple saves. When MATS makes a mistake, that results in him sulking and letting 2-3 more in. Especially on a big stage.

I bet none of the players have any problem with him enjoying the moment as much as he did tonight. Even Inaki Pena was seen smiling today on the field, how could he...

We don't know what goes behind the scenes. As far as I see, he is very well liked with the players now and seems to take his captaincy seriously, for example in that clip few days ago where he pulled Pena a little bit closer so he could actually hear out Flick had to say to players in training.

Don't know what to make of the whole thing. Inserting himself as leader for trophy ceremony while not featuring entire season is strange behaviour.
