Congratz for the record pichici and golden shoe.

Here is final La Liga 2011-2012 table without Messi's and Cronaldo's goals, and assists.

According to MisterChip, Messi scored 49 goals.. he didn't count Messi's goal vs Mallorca, he counts it as an assist for Alexis. (49 goals + 17 assists)

Infact, and imo its 50+16 !!

note: Ozil has 17 assists in La Liga this seaosn!!

Who is misterchip?

Anyway, I thought the official statement says that it was messi's, right? And if the official says so, who cares about the rest.

Because loads of people also earn 25 million euro or w/e each year. Not saying it is not a nice gesture by leo, but praising it as if it was a holy act of self sacrifice is quite ridiculous. Had he donated 10 million euro to starving children in Africa, then yes. I am sure even CR7 and other high profile people in football and other sports donate money to similar things, it comes with the job and is good PR.

Leo actually gives millions every year, but most of it goes to his foundation who builds hospitals or helps the schools from Argentina to buy modern equipment. He also has some actions with Unicef every year and spends a part of his summer with sick children.

The only footballers that are so involved as Messi(as far as I know) are Drogba and Eto'o. And as far as Cristiano goes he donates a 10th of what Leo gives and a foundation even had some complaints last summer because he was supposed to spend some time with some children with the Down Syndrome, but he stayed only 5 minutes with them and refused to touch them. So no, not every footballer or rich person does this kind of work.
