I lost a lot of respect for Sid. As jiopi's chart shows, Real Madrid would have won the league just fine without Cristiano. It was a team effort that led them to a title, not one man. On the other hand, for Barcelona it was Messi who legitimately carried the team. That shouldn't be the case normally (such dependency on one player), but alas he stepped up when others were otherwise incapable. It's ridiculous to award someone the best player simply because his team possesses the title. You might as well change the title to most decorated than best player, as you are clearly mesmerized by the shiny silverware than the cold, hard facts.

I'm beginning to think the media is starting an PR-campaign to award C.Ronaldo the Ballon d'Or. Mourinho started it already a few weeks ago. I'm sorry but 73 goals and thirty or so assists in one season breaking an 40 year-old record, How can Messi not get the Ballon d'Or. Real Madrid scored the most goals in La Liga, normally it should be C.Ronalod who has the most goals and most assists. But no, because he has a huge ego, people automatically think he is the best.
I am always genuinely surprised and stunned that C.Ronaldo is compared with Messi, it is something I just cannot understand.

I seriously doubt that considering that he's done a lot of work for RM TV. + He says he's a Real Oviedo fan.
