But it wasn't his best... the best was the one against rm.

The goal against Arsenal was very special too. He should have received it for that goal. Unfortunately Neymar had the award for a similar goal, what Messi did against Real.

Madrid? No, it's from fifa. And according to fifa, its decided thru votes on the site. And that's why neymar won, santos had people voting for him 24/7

Messi ends season with 82 goals
JORDI CLOS

After his hat-trick for Argentina, the striker has scored 73 goals for Barça and 9 for his country this season

82 goals in 69 matches. Leo Messi’s tally in official matches for Barça and international appearances for Argentina in the 2011/12 has been astounding. He rounded off the campaign with a stunning performance for the ‘Albiceleste’ against Brazil on Saturday, scoring three times in a spectacular 4-3 win in Rio.

Record breaking

For Barça, Messi scored 73 goals in 60 outings. He didn’t take long to equal Pedro’s record of scoring in six major competitions, and ended the year with a record 50 goals in La Liga (winning the Pichichi and the Golden Boot), plus 14 in the Champions League (making him top scorer in the competition for the fourth year in a row), 2 in the Spanish Cup, 3 in the Spanish Supercup, 2 in the Clubs World Cup and 1 in the European Supercup.

The 73 goals broke the record set by Gerhard Müller four decades earlier. They also helped him become the highest goalscorer in Barça history, surpassing the legendary record set by César Rodríguez.

Fourth highest scorer for Argentina

For Argentina, the three time winner of the Ballon d’Or played nine games this season, including World Cup qualifiers and friendlies, and scored an average of one goal a game. He has scored in his last four international appearances and is now the fourth all-time scorer in an Argentina shirt, with 26, and hot on the heels of Maradona (34), Crespo (35) and Batistuta (56).

After a well-earned holiday and the preseason with Barça. Messi’s next game for Argentina will be a friendly against Germany on August 15, where he’ll have the opportunity to further extend his international goalscoring account.

This game cannot be missed. It will be a very special fixture for Leo, trying to get one back at Germany.
