Yes, but he wasn't the best player in the world yet back then, so it wouldn't have been that tragic to see him leave. Him being unhappy now, that would really be a catastrophe.

kinda surprised from his performence last day... no good pace no good dribbling no genuine.. no shooting at all from barca ... but adriano... although i loved the pannas from xavi and messi =)

does someone saw the dubble backheel control from xavi??

True..he only scored 6 goals in 5 games this season.

Like the evidence that you put forward after the first game where Messi didn't scored, when it was clear that he was exhausted. Other players have been rested and dind't do much better yesterday, but I don't see anyone taking any conclusion from their performances.

Messi has been awfull yesterday and dind't have the best start of the season(at least not for his standards), but it's to be expected. Him, busi and VV are the ones that have played the most last season and it's obvious that they're not at their best. Though while Busi is benched and Song takes his place, Tito didn't had the courage to do the same with Messi in the 2nd half.

I don't want to imagine what the reactions will be on this forum when Messi will have his true poor season.

If Graham said so then it must be true..was he next to Messi when he wrote the SMS or next to Pep when he received it?

What scares me is that even tho Messi is better, truth is that he has scored like once in the last 5 clasicos, while Cristiano has scored 5 goals... lawl...

Last six Clasicos: 2 goals + 3 assists vs 5 goals. I would say it's a draw.

Even if it was true, there was pressure with the Olympics issue. What is important, is Pep talking with Messi and saying "If you want to play at Olympics, play. Enjoy." And he has enjoyed, 200+ goals and 100 assists.
