The best thing is the change Messi has experienced since Guardiola is his coach. Before that he was a phenomenal player, similar to Ronaldinho, a player who you'd expect to score around 15 goals per season plus assists and stuff like that. But now he has turned into an scoring insatiable beast! He is more dangerous than Ronaldo(the Brazilian) in his prime. And of course, compared to their age, none of those considered "myths" (Maradona, Pele and company) is approaching the soles of his shoes ... Just unbelievable

The usual level... more one game, more a "doblete"... if CR this year, wants to be a "pichichi", it will be very hard for him! Good job Mess!

Messi's finishing is brilliant, I dont know how he suddenly improved so quickly in that department.

Without Xavi and Iniesta Messi would be just average.

If that's sarcasm, then my mistake, otherwise it's bollocks. Both players contributed to just 7 of his goals last season... 7 out of 47. So far this season both Xavi and Iniesta have made about 7 assists, and only 2 or 3 of them have been in Messi's direction.

It's a myth used against Messi by bitter fans, who are largely Ronaldo ones.

Presume thats a piss take ya??

No. Like I said, world class players, but nothing compared to Messi. Also like how you only highlighted those two Barca players and left Ronaldo out though - he's better than Xavi and Iniesta.

You have an awesome perspective on a lot of football topics and I enjoy reading your posts, but am I reading what you wrote about CR being better than Xavi correctly? If so, how did you come up with that?

CR is lightening quick and has a serious eye for goal and a flare for trickery no doubt, but Xavi's footballing mind, passing, awareness, and his ability to make those around him better surpass anything CR has done or could ever do.

Again, sorry if I'm reading what you wrote incorrectly. Just sayin'.
