Whoa. When I read it like that it doesn't sound too bad. I'm sure Ronaldo meant nothing against Messi but more towards what needs to be done on Neymar/Neymar's camp to get the award. No big drama for me over that.

Same. Its a thing a lot of people say from different cultures, when translated into English it seems as if someone is fact-saying. Its like when they tell me I am going to be better than my uncle, because we are in the same profession. It just means I will be very very good.
