Enough of Ballon Dor Shit. We all know how inept our board is and how much support Messi gets from them. I don't think Leo will win it this time so chuck it.. Why not people talk about winning major silverware here. It would be joke if we lose the league to Carlo Ancelloti's Real Madrid. That dude has crap record in the league. Let's talk about that and yeah since it's Messi's thread, we shall talk about how he can help us reach there!

Support from the board? Messi doesn't deserve to win the award, with or without support from the board + support from the board shouldn't influence the voting. It's about personal achievements and performances, not about politics.

If its not about politics then why is Ronaldo winning for doing nothing in the world cup and letting Di Maria, Modric and Ramos win the CL for Madrid? Why is Neuer so much more deserving than Muller? or Lahm? or Hummels? or Kroos?

Why are you so obsessed with the Ballon D'or? This award lost all of it's credibility last year, when they re-opened the voting so CR could win :lol:

Cause them fanboys want to use the "well this guy won this" whenever they argue there points, BUT seeing that the award has little credibility really, that argument is really silly.

After Messi winning 4 in a row, wearing a Barça shirt, it became about politics. Or what was that last year, with blatter speaking nonsense so he could later on re-open the votes? There were always politics involved, but now uncle flo took it to another level.

Anyone who thinks that the award lost its significance and credibility is seeing things from a very narrow perspective, and failing to recognize the ignorance of the general public. Just because some of us (and among Barca fans, most of us) see through the bullshit doesn't mean everyone else does, too. And the award does matter. Saying it doesn't is just trying to make oneself feel less bad about Messi not winning it. Sad, but true.

Ofc it does. And obviously the general public is oblivious, but things changed after Messi winning so many for Barça. Last year was a farce, but as in anything involving fifa, corruption gets a free pass.
