Lets hope there will be some space for Argentina, then we can see their best type of play, Messi with space to dribble/shoot and pass will be great.
Just have Di Maria and especially Aguero and Higuain step their game up as well.

I just want Leo to perform well against Nigeria and take Argentina to the group of 16 with a solid win. Whether he scores or not, it doesn't matter.

Well it sort of does matter if he scores or not, at the 2010 World Cup he had an amazing game vs Nigeria but didn't score. In fact he had a very solid tournament but he didn't score so he was seen as a flop. This time around he and Argentina have looked average but Messi has had 2 wonderful goals to take all 6 points... and as a result the world's newspapers have hailed his performances. Goals mean everything.

In truth i dont think you will see another Messi today than the last couple of matches. Argentina is already through, he doesnt want to get injured, its probably hot outside.
He will walk aorund waiting for a pass to his feet that doesnt come from an inept midfield.

I'm hoping they play it to his feet in the tight spaces, I think he likes those passes when he has his back turned to the defence as he can turn quickly to beat his marker and find a pass or even space to shoot.

I hope after the group stage we will see no more match played at this time of the day.
Sorry to disappoint you but this time will be used every match day up until the last 4. The last 4 games and final/3rd place play off will be played at today's later time.

The midfield need to step up their game today.. I'd like to see some good passes to Messi where he only has the defence to run at rather than a 10 man defence.

That's not the midfield's fault more of the fact that Iran parked the bus, against France or Brazil or any team they'll probably meet in the round of 16 they'll be given room, and the goals messi scored shows that he'll jump to 100% if he needs to during a match even if he doesn't play his best the whole time. That's why I think they'll win it, Argentina if they played their best are no better than Brazil if even on the same level, but messi transcends every player In this tournament and none of these defenses can keep him out for 90 mins unless they abandon attack and have 10 men behind the ball.

First video @2:08....I said exactly the same many times on these boards.
In my eyes, he has nothing to prove, I seen him doing magical things all the time, but WC is obviously a world stage where he can show EVERYONE how good he is. But, it's also depends on the luck and the fact
that teams today are far stronger then in Maradona's time and the football in general has envolved far. Therefor, WC is not relevant for me and I think many others that follow his career in Barca.
Thank you for videos.

Of course it's the midfields fault.. To the point where Messi has to drop so deep to start any attack himself! If you've watched Pirlo this World Cup so far he cuts the oppositions midfield out with one direct pass, leaving Balotelli with only the defence in front of him to run at rather than a 10 man defence. Gago/Di Maria/Maxi Rodriguez/Biglia haven't shown any signs of good direct passing yet over 2 games.

He carried them in 2 games, in one of those games he used his hand to win a game.
why do people often refer to that goal as the "hand of god" or "mano de dios"? I mean Im sure Maradona was good, but Ive seen many south americans claiming he was some sort of god or something. Was Maradona that better than Messi?

Because he literally knocked in that goal with his hand, and otherwise Argentina wouldn't have won the world cup. Ergo it was the hand of God.
