Leo will assess his situation at Barça at the end of the next season. Willing to listen to offers for 2015-2016 season

WTF IS THIS??!?

I'm worried. This guy knows what he's talking about, he called Messi to Barca back in 1987.

I don't think he's being told to not run without the ball. No. That's just a part of his game that has gotten worse over the years. Not having a coach with more personality, to make him give that extra bit of effort, played a part in this decline.

THIS!

Hitzfeld said Switzerland would form a tight web to contain Messi.

Looks like they are going to park the bus and Leo will not get much space at all.

I think the biggest problem is the coach.

It seems that everyone relies on Messi's brilliance. The opponents know how to stop Messi or how to make him feel uncomfortable on the pitch but especially Tata didn't do anything against it. If Hitzfeld says that they will build a tight web around Messi, Sabella has to react and try to change his tactics to get Messi out of this ''web'' as far as possible but he the only thing he'll do is say ''He is the best player in the world. He can change the game on his own'' regardless of the opponent's tactics.

Agreed 100%.

No opponent knows how to stop Messi. The problem with Tata was that his entire tactics were shit and the whole team suffered, not just Leo. He even tried to diminish Messi's influence by putting him on the wing lol, and we were even worse. Guy was just totally clueless.

Exactly. Problem is though that Argentina's team look clueless too so Messi IS stoppable.

It's not necessarily the bus. Hitzfeld will rather look to compress the area between the lines, where Messi usually thrives in.

Switzerland will try to turn Argentina into a broken team by isolating the midfielders from each other and man marking Messi. Throughout the entire tournament the midfield cohesion and poor deilvery from the full-backs were the main problem in Argentina's attack.

The game will be tatically pretty much decided by Gago's and Di Maria's performances. If they fail to deliver, there will be only Messi and dead balls to rely on.

The Suisse can't really squeeze the lines, especially in midfield, even against a mediocre one from Argentina since their own midfield has been poor in this WC...If the Suisse press high up with a high defensive line, they will get killed by pace and even if they sit deep to absorb pressure they won't be able to counter effectively against even this Argentina defense - plus, I don't think they'll be able to endure sustained attacking pressure from Messi et al

Should see the Suisse in a 4-2-3-1 formation...Keep an eye out for Lichtsteiner vs Di Maria as the Juve star has been in surprisingly poor form...Xhaka continues to disappoint himself but he has a chance to show his quality against a very mediocre Argentine midfield...Inler, Xhaka & Shaqiri are physical players in the middle of the pitch...I hope Džemaili plays instead of Behrami
