But in terms of the year 2014 its been all messi, most goals for the year, led his team to the final by being involved in every single goal scored. The man deserves it because he's the best, he wasn't given even an ounce of luck the entire year, with injuries and his teammates constantly letting him down. Robben hasnt done shit aside from score against an incredibly lackluster spain.

Edit: And he dived so that the Netherlands could reach the Semis.

Hi guys.

Away from the normal Ronaldo v Messi or Maradonna v Messi debates I was browsing through some stats and alike and got to wondering what classifies career goals.

I mean when people talk about career goals for the likes of Messi they quote International & Official Club goals I believe. Which means Messi is on around 397-399?

Anyway, I then wondered why people when talking about Messi compared to Pele for example. Say "Pele scorer of 12?? Goals" Which include friendlys and stuff.

So ultimately I wondered why Messi cant include goals scored for Youth teams, friendlies and charity matches? Basically that's what Pele does for his.

Plus Goals for Barca C & B are for official professional club teams, like a player in England scoring for a League 1 or 2 team.

Anyway with all those Messi is on 507 career goals and 242 assists (thanks to Mika Kähkönen for your site)

We all know Pele would count them all.

Does anyone know if he included youth teams from ages 5 or whatever? If so Messi has some more to add.

Just interesting to think about.

Be awesome if someone could make a comp of all his professional goals at least. (all C, B, Barca, Argenina youth, friendlies and senior goals)
