I agree with footyfan, Cesc is in the perfect environment to be top assister in Europe. His teammates make up for his deficiencies and he is just left to deliver those throughballs/final passes over and over again to rack up assists (in a counterattacking team with all the space of the EPL no less). Especially considering how thoroughly Chelsea will thrash the minnows this season (3-1, 6-3, 4-2, etc.), Cesc has the best possible chance to statpad regularly.
