Where does it come from? It comes from the fact that you're pulling claims out of your ass and presents them as the likely scenario. You know nothing about how Messi's will react. Nothing. You're guessing - and it's not an educated guess. You thinking you know Leo and can predict his reactions is laughable.

Physical recovery for athletes is proven. I'll take that any day over your unsubstantiated claims.

Calm down. My guess is as good as yours and the next guy's, don't lecture me for my guess, educated or not, essentially my opinion.

A player swears and is banned for four games? Whereas violent conduct is a straight red and only 3 games? Sounds about right FIFA.

The thing is, I am reading the none of the refs complained about him allegedly cursing and swearing. Apparently it was the media that reported later which got FIFA's attention.

Exactly, kind of dumb move from FIFA --- 1-2 matches would have made more sense. This increases the likelyhood of Argentina missing the WC and therefore no Messi, I'm sure sponsors will love that. On the other hand, great for Barca. Anybody know what he said to the ref?

This can either be REALLY GOOD for Argentina (since the three stooges will be forced to step up and play better) or REALLY HORRIBLE for Argentina (they get knocked out).

If Argentina somehow manages to win these four games in a convincingly fashion you know what certain swath of the population will say.

Yup, if the bad option happens I think the population will finally admit that Argentina is shit without Messi. However, this could be really good for us Barca fans (if Argentina qualify and Messi is back to Barca and happy that his NT is in the WC) or it could be really bad for us (Argentina gets knocked out --> Messi in a bad mood --> is not bothered to play football and won't snap out of it).

Exciting stuff.

Edit: Also to add this is potentially Messi's last WC, so, imagine the heart break if he doesn't qualify.
