I wouldn't say we won with ease since it was close until they got a man sent off

Scorelines don't tend to reflect the game in Spain a lot because opponents give up easily once a couple of goals down, Alaves at Real was the same when it was an even game for most of it and finished 3-0.

Barca game was 0-0 for most of the first half and then 1-1 after an hour. We never make it easy away from home. Easy is having the game effectively won at half time (2 or 3 goals up) which we often do at home.

It was easy and Barca should have been out of sight by half time. Were always going on to win that game by a few goals.

But that has nothing to do with Messi missing or proves anything. This team should be able to beat Granada without him.

it's ALREADY known that Barca wins tough away games even without Messi , he doesn't have that impact now that he isn't in the spotlight anymore

Barca winning with ease away from Home without Leo...interesting.

... and without Messi the team would be struggling for top four. Amazing how quickly people forget about Villarreal, Valencia, Bilabo, Sociadad, Atletico away etc.

Thats not true. Even without Messi this Barca team would easily be top four and most likely top two.

He is the best around for now and makes Barca more likely to win but the team is built around him with him in it so of course he will get a lot of important goals etc.

Poorer without him and less likely to win trophies but never be out of top four.

Top 2? That's very ambitious.

No matter how good Neymar is to create, he isn't at the level of Messi there yet, and this midfield isn't creating chances for the front three.

Top 3 arguably with Juventus being right behind us, but with Bayern and Real being a level above. If Messi went to Juventus, they would leapfrog us.

Edit: Fuck it, just saw you guys talked about La Liga. Yeah on paper we definitely should be top 2, although we've not played like it with him having to bail us out this season more often than ideal.
