I really doubt that Messi is ever going to win anything big with Argentina...They are no good with him and terrible without him. In my opinion Spain wasn't even playing really well...the spanish defense wasn't really strong... I really root for Argentina in this World Cup but this last match was ridiculous...

When he should be resting a bit in Jan/Feb he's playing every midweek in the Copa Del Ray. Gets to March/April and suffers muscle fatigue/tiredness, gets to a summer tournament and he's exhausted. Compare to Ronaldo who hasn't played a minute in the Copa this season and is flying.

There is a BIG difference. Messi is the main scorer and main creator of the team. He's basically our midfield and attack. You can't compare that to Ronaldo who's only job is to score. Barca is more dependent on Messi than Real to Ronaldo.

For me, Messi shouldn't play Copa until a semis against a very tough team or just play the final and just focus on being fresh for the UCL's most important months (April and May)
