Firstly both are not in the same league . Messi is better and Ronaldo wasn't soo good as well . Not better than Modric and Marcelo . Last time Ronaldo played lile a talisman was in 2011-12

Messi is better but yes it is much closer than likes of you would like to think.

Ronaldo is not in same league as Messi on the ball but his ability to impact the game is not that far off Messi and indeed has been better in likes of CL in recent years.

Real 's main man has been Modric. If Ronaldo was their man man they would have won a Cl before Modric's arrival . And Messi is far better than penaldo in every sense . Marcelo and Modric carried them to their Cl sucess in past two seasons . Peno was just a finisher

I have already explained why Modric doesn't accumulate assists . His job is to orchestrate midfield . Alba has more assists than Modric this season not because Alba is a better playmaker .

His impact isn't down to goals and assists . He gets Rm going and orchestrate their attack . Without him Rm would be as much as they were before him and spain before Xavi's arrival
