Haven’t seen many people say that. People are pissed just because of what Messi said here, that our team didn’t turn up in the CL and that we had to pay for it. Now the fans have to sit and watch Real Madrid win it again. He is likely just as frustrated as us.

Madrid might have been lucky, but they chase you, pester you and play at 100% every single minute. Perhaps if our players including Messi did it our fortunes would change too.

This attitude bothers me, or well in a way it doesn't, because it tells me our players including our "leaders" don't really have the drive or balls to play hard.

Losing Puyol then Xavi have left us with a group of softies with no leadership to push them harder.

The way the Chelsea game and Roma first legs were talked about were as if Barca were lucky not to take a hiding.

Real have not played as badly as Bara did away to Roma in the CL at any stage and Messi was appauling that game and shouldnt be moaning about Reals luck.

If he's frustrated it means he has a chip on his shoulder and feels at least partially guilty, but isn't really admitting it vocally. RM don't really look sideways at what Barca, Juve or Bayern are doing in the CL anymore. Which is more than reasonable and shows how to deal with a problematic season.

Maybe it would be a start then to appoint a fucking coach with a set of balls and some personality. Not some yes man with no charisma like Valverde. Shake things up a little. I suggest folk admit that the players and Valverde fucked up in that game.

Would say it is more on the players really.

Should be able to pick an eleven from here with no instructions and they should still perform a lot better than that.

Valverde got tactics wrong, individuals looked like sulking or nor having the fight for it.

Oh yeah because Atletico Madrid twice and Roma were loaded with WC players far superior to the ones in our team. The poor staff and quality of the players the last few years is the reason we've lost to those two super teams.

Poor Barcelona players that just stand there sulking for 90 minutes.
