Dont forget the lucky penalty in second leg against Juve 2018. But to be fair Ronaldo was outstanding in their last years in KO STAGES. If you have a player with that passion and that mentality its hard not to win the CL. Lets see if he can show his power for Juve.

I did mention that Real Madrid got ref decisions for them against Juventus in 2018.

I want to be fair with Ronaldo as well. Yes he scored lots of crucial goals in several CL KO games in the last 3 years. In many others he went totally missing (2016 final, 2016 R16, first 2016 SF, 2018 SF & second QF & F)

The thing with Ronaldo is that outside of his goals, there is little (if anything) other than giving the ball away very cheaply and being extremely wasteful with multiple shots per game.

My point is that Ronaldo's stats flatter him to an immense degree, which is what has allowed his fanbois (primarily Prem-faces) to go absolutely batshit crazy with their claims. I mean, Ronaldo scores a penalty and a ludicrous ricochet off his thigh against PSG and then his fanbois declare him "better than Messi" or "greatest ever" or "Mr Champions League"

It's good that retarded old farts like Pele provoke Messi this way. I expect him to be extra motivated for the foreseeable future.

I thought that people stopped taking the likes of Pelé, Maradona etc. seriously ages ago. I mean their track records and schizophrenia speak for themselves. It's just hot air and background noise. I doubt that Leo even bothers to read the nonsense nor should he care. Pelé suffers from dementia (he even began criticizing his darling Neymar) while Maradona is on drugs once again. I refer to some of his recent interviews in Mexico. Sad stuff.

What is far more important is Messi "bouncing back" for club (CL) and country (Copa América) next year. This would be his best reply. Let his football do the talking once again.

Players from pele's era should not be comparing themselves to players from this era. Alot of the players in his era played against players with different levels of fitness, players who weren't fully fit and I'm sure on plenty of occasions players who were hungover or still drunk. Today nearly every player is an athlete and they don't play unless they are fit. Also it is harder to play against teams due to the different tactics managers use nowadays.

Spite is an underrated motivator. Remember the story Henry always tells about Messi?. Sometimes when a call didn't go his way in training, something would switch in his eyes and he would enter this absolute beast mode, basically going down to pick up the ball from the keeper and going past everyone in his way. There are a few good examples from games as well.

One is his insane goal in the Copa final, before which Balenciaga (I think) had bullied him for the first 10 minutes with constant little fouls and arm holding.

There have been tons of these moments against Real especially, but one that stands out of the top of my head is a goal in the 09/10 season, where Ramos fouls him and he just gets up and signals that he wants the ball immediately, gets it from Milito, charges forward, gives it to Xavi, runs straight at goal, gets the ball back from Xavi, goes inside and scores. In that clip you can actually pinpoint the second, where he's down on the ground, when something just switches on inside of him and he decides to score a goal.

In an astonishing scientific breakthrough after long time misconception it would eventually be revealed that earth is in fact flat.

I don't want to get into the politics and everything or dispute what you stand for, but just want to ask if that's truly your opinion.

In other words: Are you serious dude?
