10 - Lionel Messi - V6

The amounts he runs is literally a joke, he could play every day, if he actually has trouble running this much every 3 days then he should really get his conditioning in check. And that "getting old" thing is bs, he isn't 40.

Even Ronaldo, who is a genetic freak, didn't play 3 times a week last season. Yet you think Messi can do it and expect his performance not to drop. He can get away with it in most liga games, but not in the CL knockouts.

Iniesta is playing in Japan at the age of 34. By your definition, he is not old. Let's bring him back.

I think he should at most be a sub against Madrid, it's better to let the injury heal then carry it on through the season.

The late goal from Gervinho will soften the blow a little

you have to be the most deluded clown on the forum (where jair ventura also resides) to believe messi is losing sleep over juve v parma results.

then again, you think denise is an alpha.

"Genetic freak" doesn't mean shit, when someone like Mandzukic, who is his age, has at least twice better cardio.
Players decline at a different age, look at Lebron, who is 34, playing 48 minutes per game, is he too old and should go play basketball in Qatar?
Messi is only 31, there is no way he can't play every 3 games while running 5km per match, it just doesn't add up.

Labeling me a clown and then calling a stud athlete Denise....

It would help our CL chances a lot if Atletico start dropping points some points soon, so we have a big enough lead by April to rotate more. Most of our key players just can't perform at their best twice in 3-4 days anymore

Zico on the comparison between Messi and Pelé/Maradona

Messi is close to Maradona. That means, in my opinion, he can't be compared to Pele. I still consider Maradona in front of Messi. With Pele, no. Pele has all the qualities and characteristic that a football player has to have.

When God created him Pele, he put every quality a footballer needs; speed, strength, impulse, technique, kicking ability, heading, dribbling – all of it, everything that a player might have.

Few people could jump like him for a header. He is 170 centimetres tall. His foundations are perfect, he had mastery of the ball, and mastery of headers. He improved in every way. Everything you can imagine from a player, Pele has done it.

Messi has almost everything, but he doesn't have the World Cup titles that Pele has. This means a lot.

Because, I think Maradona played, like in our period, with a player in his back all the time. Maradona has done a lot for his clubs, as Messi does, and for the Argentina national team. Maradona was a world champion.

Maradona has always stood out in the big competitions, and in a moment where Argentina was not a favourite with so many stars, like today, when they have high-level players in the big European teams.

I think he didn't play in a team like Messi plays in for Barcelona today. He didn't have a Gerard Pique, an Andres Iniesta, a Luis Suarez, a Xavi or a Neymar beside him like Messi has today.

It's scientifically proven that Pele was a fraud. I even rate Zico above Pele!

point is not if it's nothing serious, point is that can become more serious. I read he has a contracture, no way he should play in 3 days with a contracture.
