Would be poetic justice too - Both CR7 & Messi's career evolved on having great mid fielders who never got to win the accolades that these guys did! Would be nice if it would be a mid fielder that breaks these guys monopoly!!


Of course it would have been better if either of Xavi & Iniesta did that but yeah any deserving mid fielder is good too

La Liga being longer doesn't make it more important. The World Cup is shorter than La Liga, CL, and CDR but still the most important trophy by far.

In La Liga, you compete against RM and Atletico. In CL, you compete against RM, Atletico, PSG, City, Bayern.....

But that's the thing about knockout competitions. You don't always compete against these teams. Yes last year real had a tough route to win it but it's not always like that. It's not a league format where you play all the top teams. Take liverpools route to the final for instance. I know Roma beat us but that was really a one off bad day for us but Liverpool only had to beat one really top team to get to the final
