All of you here who think this is a good deal are fools. The fuking kid hasn't shown anything to make him a 100+ mill signing! this is insane and it has nothing to do with the market being inflated.

Neymar won a champions league, is the leader of his national team, was the 2nd most important player in Barca, so his price is fully justified.


This player is still a kid and still very raw. To expect him to replace Neymar is ludicrous.

Still think he's very raw and definitely not worth 150 mil at this stage of his career. Rather spend 150 on Coutinho who could play both in an Iniesta type role and as a winger.

Coutinho is 5 years older and very unlikely to improve further though. Dembele was the second best player in the Bundesliga last season among players not playing for Bayern, according to Kicker. After dominating in France since getting a chance.

The value of 5 full extra seasons is also a lot (20 vs 25). I've seen people even arguing that smashing the transfer records on 28 year olds is sensible even though they are likely to decline to mid table levels or below at 31 years of age.
