Ceballos and Kovacic would be young quality signings for us. Very unlikely we had close interest and deals with any of those before RM did. Very likely just made up media stories while the board were chasing some washed up 29 year old for top euros.

Can add Viniscius to that as well, supposedly Real tried to get Marlon to go there also. Mina as well.

But it will always be twisted that it is made up when Barca get the player but it is a big 'L' when Real get them.
